The Kingswood subdivision is located in the western portion of the city of Athens, in Clarke County.

The main access to Kingswood is off of Timothy Road, across from the Timothy Road Elementary School (south of Atlanta Highway), at the entrances of Avalon Drive and Highland Drive, and off of Jennings Mill Road at the Kingswood Drive entrance.

Kingswood was established in 1967, with most of the original homes built by 1979. The most recent houses to be built are three new homes located on the north side of Tuxedo Road (two homes were constructed in 2004, and the third will be done in 2005). The Kings Ridge subdivision is also located in Kingswood, off of the Kings Road perimeter at Lenox Road. These neighbors use our three main entrances as well.
